Do you have a creative mind? The Village of Dane is looking for one of its talented residents to create a logo and/or slogan that would be unique to the village. The logo and/or slogan would be utilized on village letterhead, utility invoices, website, and various other media. The selected logo and/or slogan may even be used on the new welcome signs the village has starting to design. If you are interested in submitting your own unique logo and/or slogan, please contact the village office at 608-849-5422 or email villageofdane@charter.net. All submissions will be available on the village website for viewing and at Village Hall during normal business hours. All ideas will be submitted to the Village Board on August 9th, 2010. The Board may elect to choose an idea at the meeting, or delay the selection. The selected idea will become the property of the Village of Dane. The village would prefer submissions that can be made electronically available. The deadline for all ideas is Thursday August 5th, 2010 at Noon.

Plan Commission
The Village of Dane is currently seeking interested residents who would like to become a member of the Plan Commission. The Plan Commission is responsible for making recommendations relating to the plan and development of the village to the Village Board, other public bodies, citizens, public utility, and organizations. The first task of the Plan Commission will be to create a Comprehensive Plan. If you are interested in being considered for membership, please submit a letter of interest and resume to the Village Office. Your letter of interest should contain why you would like to be considered and how the commission will benefit by your membership. The village is seeking to fill five (5) resident positions, and one (1) community business owner position. The initial terms will vary. Please send the requested information to villageofdane@charter.net or PO Box 168, Dane WI 53529. All applications need to be submitted no later than Wednesday August 4th at noon.
Zoning Board of Appeals
The Village of Dane is currently seeking interested residents who would like to become a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. The Zoning Board of Appeals is responsible for hearing zoning variances, problems within the zoning code, and various other miscellaneous items with zoning in the Village of Dane. If you are interested in being considered for membership, please submit a letter of interest and resume to the Village Office. Your letter of interest should contain why you would like to be considered and how the Zoning Board of Appeals will benefit by your membership. The village is seeking to fill five (5) resident positions, and two (2) alternate resident positions. Please send the requested information to villageofdane@charter.net or PO Box 168, Dane WI 53529. All applications need to be submitted no later than Wednesday August 4th at noon.
